Talk about when you had to replace lightbulbs.
A while ago, fluorescent light in our living room began to flicker on and off. A little later, it wouldn’t turn on at all. There was also a lightbulb that had gone out in the bathroom, so I thought it was high time I bought some bulbs. First, I used my phone to take snapshots of the type of bulb for each lightbulb socket. I went to the hardware store and showed the store clerk the photos. I bought the right incandescent bulb and a fluorescent bulb that I needed. When I got home, I turned off the power and used a screwdriver to remove the covers from the light fixtures. Then, I replaced all the bulbs and reattached the covers. It was a bit of a chore to change the living room light because I had to step on a chair to reach the ceiling. I carefully threw away the used-up bulbs in the lightbulb disposal container in front of the recycling containers.

지난번에 거실에 있는 형광등이 깜박거리기 시작했다. 조금 더 있다 보니, 아예 점등이 되지 않았다. 화장실 쪽 전구도 하나 나간 상황이라서 전구를 사러 갈 때가 되었다고 생각했다. 일단, 각각의 전구 소켓에 어떤 전구가 들어가는지 핸드폰으로 사진을 찍었다. 철물점에 가서 직원분에게 사진을 보여 주면서, 맞는 백열전구와 형광등을 구매했다. 집에 와서 일단 전원을 내리고 드라이버로 전구 위의 덮개를 모두 뺐다. 그리고 전구를 교체하고 다시 덮개를 고정시켰다. 특히 마루의 형광등 교체는 의자에 올라가서 천장을 올려다보고 해야 하는 작업이어서 조금 힘들었다. 다 쓴 전구들은 재활용 수거통 앞에 있는 전구 수거통에 조심스럽게 내다 버렸다.
