My family and I have lived in the same house for ages. To avoid getting sick of the house, we made changes occasionally. We did this bit by bit, instead of renovating the house all at once. When we moved in, we redid the wallpaper. We also redid the floors. We hired workers to put in new tiles in the bathroom. The wooden window frames were nice to look at. However, they let in cold air during the winter. We replaced them with aluminum frames. Renovations take up a lot of time and money. However, it’s worth it. When the work is over, the house feels new.

나는 가족들과 함께 오랜 기간 동안 같은 집에서 살아 왔다. 집이 질리지 않도록 우리는 때때로 변화를 줬다. 한꺼번에 집을 리모델링하지 않고 조금씩 했다. 입주를 할 때 벽지를 새로 발랐다. 바닥재도 새로 깔았다. 작업자를 써서 화장실에 새 타일을 깔기도 했다. 목재 창틀은 보기에는 좋았다. 하지만 겨울에 찬바람이 들어왔다. 그것들을 알루미늄 창틀로 교체했다. 리모델링은 시간과 비용이 많이 든다. 하지만 그럴 만한 가치가 있다. 작업이 끝나면 집이 새집처럼 느껴진다.
