Talk about disposable items we use in our daily lives.
Disposable items make our lives more convenient, but they are not eco-friendly. Paper cups, disposable chopsticks, and disposable containers are used in massive amounts around us. Packaging and containers for various products are also disposable goods. Recycling is well-practiced in Korea, so these items are recycled quite well. Even so, little can be done about the waste of resources and environmental pollution caused by excessive use of disposable goods. The only solution is to refrain from using disposable items. Because Korea is small, the shortage of landfills is a major problem. To solve this problem, it’s important for us to reduce the use of disposables and to recycle more efficiently.

일회용품은 우리의 생활을 편하게 해 주기는 하지만, 환경에는 좋지 않다. 종이컵, 일회용 젓가락, 일회용 용기들이 우리 주변에서 굉장히 많이 사용된다. 더불어, 다양한 상품의 포장지나 포장 용기들도 결국 일회용 제품이다. 우리나라에서는 재활용이 잘 실행되고 있어서, 이러한 용품들의 재활용이 잘 이루어지는 편이기는 하다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 일회용품의 지나친 사용으로 인한 자원 낭비와 환경 오염은 어쩔 수 없다. 일회용품의 사용을 자제하는 방법이 유일한 해결책이다. 특히 영토가 좁은 우리나라의 경우, 쓰레기 매립지가 부족한 것이 큰 문제이다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서도 일회용품의 사용을 줄이고 재활용을 더욱 효율적으로 하는 것이 중요하다.
