The number of overseas travelers is increasing exponentially. The number of foreigners visiting Korea is also breaking records every year. As a result, the duty free shop industry is growing by the day. This is why major corporations in Korea are fighting tooth and nail to win business rights for duty free stores. Various companies make it a goal to enter duty free shops. When traveling abroad, people can buy items at local duty free stores, or buy things at Korean duty free stores before they leave the country. Duty free shops are located mostly at airports, but they are also at large hotels or in downtown areas. It’s possible to buy items at low prices thanks to tax exemptions. However, there is a price limit for goods purchased during international travel. Care is needed since breaking the rules can cause problems when going through customs.
