Talk about the trade war between the US and China.
The trade war that is under way between the US and China is raising concerns all over the world. The reason for the dispute was that the US had a trade deficit with China for a long time. US President Donald Trump has raised the issue since he was a candidate. He has long argued that China has been making off with American jobs and that he will impose high tariffs on products made in China. Another reason America has a beef with China is that some suspect China is copying US trade secrets to manufacture goods and exporting them back to the US. With the US throwing the first punch with tariffs on Chinese goods, the Chinese government lost no time in hitting back. They couldn’t stand idly by while Washington attacked China for manufacturing and exporting items at cheaper prices. They, too, imposed tariffs on American goods exported to China. Despite many stabs at negotiation, the two countries failed to find common ground


미국과 중국 간의 무역 전쟁에 대해 이야기해 주세요.
미국과 중국 간 진행되고 있는 무역 전쟁은 전 세계적으로 우려를 낳고 있다. 이러한 분쟁이 발생한 이유는 오랜 기간 미국이 중국과의 무역에서 적자가 발생했기 때문이었다. 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 대선 후보 시절부터 이러한 문제를 지적해 왔다. 중국이 미국의 일자리를 빼앗아 갔으며, 중국산 제품에 높은 관세를 부과하겠다고 오랫동안 주창해 왔다. 미국이 중국에 불만을 품고 있는 또 다른 이유는, 중국이 미국 기업의 영업 비밀을 베껴서 제품을 생산하고 그걸 다시 미국에 수출하고 있다는 의혹이 있기 때문이다. 미국이 중국산 제품에 관세를 부과하며 선제 타격을 하자, 중국 정부도 서둘러 반격했다. 더 저렴한 가격으로 제품을 만들어 수출했을 뿐인데, 미국 정부에서 공격을 하자 중국으로서는 가만히 있을 수가 없었던 것이다. 중국 정부도 중국으로 수출되는 미국산 제품에 관세를 부과하기에 이른다. 수차례 협상을 시도하였지만 접점을 찾지 못했다.
