Something that is flaky breaks easily into small thin pieces or tends to come off in small thin pieces.
If you describe an idea, argument, or person as flaky, you mean that they are rather eccentric and unreliable.
Dermatologists label my skin type as a combination as opposed to dry or oily. It's a nightmare. I break out in the t-zone but can't use harsh acne medication because it will result in dry, flaky skin.
