[영어 회화] The tacos will knock your socks off.

 

(Tom and Jack are in a restaurant … )
Tom: What are you going to order?
Jack: I don't have the faintest idea. How about you?
Tom: I can't make up my mind. I don't know what anything is.
Jack: I'll order for you. I'll get a few things we can eat together.
Tom: You mean share?
Jack: That's exactly what I mean.
Tom: I grew up eating that way.
Jack: I'll order a Mexican salad and some tacos. The tacos will knock your socks off. But that's not enough.
Tom: That should be enough for now. We can order more later if we are hungry.
Jack: That's a great idea.

(톰과 잭이 식당에 있다…)
톰: 뭐 시킬 거야?
잭: 모르겠는데. 너는?
톰: 맘을 정하지 못하겠어. 뭐가 뭔지 하나도 모르겠어.
잭: 내가 시켜줄께. 몇 가지 시켜서 같이 먹자.
톰: 나눠먹자는 얘기야?
잭: 바로 그거지.
톰: 나도 자랄 때 그렇게 먹고 컸지.
잭: 멕시칸 샐러드랑 타코를 시킬게. 여기 타코 맛에 정말 놀랄 거야. 그래도 그것만으로는 양이 충분하지가 않지.
톰: 그거면 당장은 충분할 거야. 좀 있다가 배고프면 더 시키자.
잭: 좋은 생각이야.
