Talk about water pollution.
Water quality is an important issue because it directly relates to our drinking water and water for living. Water pollution in drinking water sources like rivers and lakes is growing worse by the day. Water pollution is caused by industrial waste or household waste making their way into water resources. The green algae phenomenon that has become a problem lately is a prime example of such pollution. The worsening water quality makes it hard for fish or aquatic animals to survive. I think we must work harder to look after our water resources. A good starting point would be to block off sewage and get rid of sources of contamination.

수질 문제는 식수뿐만 아니라 생활 용수와도 직결되는 문제여서 매우 중요하다. 식수원이 되는 강이나 호수의 오염이 날이 갈수록 심각해지고 있다. 공업 하수나 생활 쓰레기가 이러한 수자원에 유입되면서 수질 오염이 발생한다. 최근 문제가 되고 있는 녹조 현상이 그러한 오염의 가장 대표적인 사례이다. 악화되는 수질 때문에 물고기나 수중 생물들의 생존이 힘들다. 우리는 수자원을 보호하기 위해 더 많은 노력을 해야 한다고 생각한다. 하수 유입을 막고 오염원을 제거하는 노력이 좋은 출발점이 될 수 있다.
