Talk about homeless pats.
Raising pets can be a financial burden. Therefore, when the economy is bad, some pet owners cannot afford to keep their pets anymore. Unfortunately, some end up abandoning their pets. Most local districts run animal shelters for these pets. But they do not have enough room or funds to take care of all the homeless animals. Many places have no choice but to put them to sleep. More recently, the public has become more aware of these animals thanks to campaigns held by animal rights groups. There have been campaigns to adopt pets from animal shelters on social media. Pet owners have also been urged to become more responsible with their pets.

애완동물을 키우는 데는 돈이 많이 들어갈 수 있습니다. 그래서인지 경기가 나빠지면 애완동물을 키울 여력이 안 되는 사람들이 생깁니다. 안타깝게도 이 중 일부는, 키우던 애완동물을 유기하는 경우도 있습니다. 대부분의 지방 행정 구역마다 동물 보호소를 운영하고 있지만, 모든 유기 동물을 돌보기에는 공간과 자금이 턱없이 부족한 상태입니다. 그래서 동물 보호소에서는 어쩔 수 없이 이들을 안락사시킵니다. 최근에는 동물 보호 단체에서 실시한 캠페인 덕분에 유기동물에 대한 인식이 보다 높아졌습니다. 동물 보호소에 있는 유기 동물들을 입양하는 것을 촉구하는 캠페인들이 SNS 등을 타고 퍼지고 있습니다. 애완동물 주인들의 좀 더 높은 책임감을 촉구하는 목소리도 높아지고 있습니다.
