Many Korean people are under the belief that a person’s blood type influences their personality. You can find endless posts about blood types and personalities while browsing the web. There are even posts about how well-suited men and women of certain blood types are for each other. A lot of people say they get along well with certain blood types, or that they are at odds with others. Others are skeptical of blood types and personalities, saying that it is a sweeping generalization. However, few people think that the personality traits for their blood type and off the mark completely. Of course, these things are all just for fun. It is not used seriously when trying to get a read on someone’s character.

많은 한국 사람들은 혈액형이 사람들의 성격에 영향을 미친다는 생각을 가지고 있다. 혈액형과 성격에 관한 글을 인터넷상에서 수없이 찾아볼 수 있다. 심지어 남녀 관계에 있어서도 혈액형 궁합에 대한 글들이 있다. 그래서 특정 혈액형의 사람과 잘 맞는다거나, 반대로 잘 안 맞는다고 이야기하는 사람들도 많다. 지나친 일반화라는 생각 때문에 혈액형과 성격의 연관 관계에 대해 의구심을 가지고 있는 사람들도 있기는 하다. 그렇지만, 대부분 자기 자신의 혈액형에 해당하는 성격적 특징이 전혀 맞지 않는다고 하는 사람은 거의 없다. 물론 이러한 것들은 가볍게 재미로 이야기하는 것이다. 한 사람의 성격을 판단하는 심각한 근거로 사용하지는 않는다.
