Talk about a time when you had problems parking your car.
In the hustle and bustle of a major city, finding a parking spot can be a pill. You really need to keep your eyes peeled and drive at a snail’s pace to find an open spot. I even drive a small car to make parking less of a chore. It’s easier to navigate through cramped parking lots. Still, finding room to park is so difficult that I wonder if it’s worth the trouble. Once, I was afraid of running late to a meeting. I left early just in case. Infuriatingly, I couldn’t find a parking space and I ended up being tardy anyway. This is a widespread problem. Perhaps the solution is to use public transport more often.

대도시의 복잡함 속에서, 주차 공간을 찾는 일은 정말 골칫거리가 될 수 있다. 빈자리를 찾으려면 눈을 부릅뜨고 지켜보면서 천천히 운전해야 한다. 심지어 나는 주차의 어려움을 덜기 위해 소형차를 운전하기도 한다. 그려면 비좁은 주차장 안에서 길을 찾기가 더 쉽다. 하지만, 주차할 공간을 찾는 일이 너무 힘들어서, 과연 이렇게 고생할 가치가 있는 일인지 고민이 되고도 한다. 한번은 회의에 늦을 것 같아서 걱정이 되었던 날이 있었다. 나는 혹시나 해서 일찍 나섰다. 그런데 정말 짜증스럽게도 주차 공간을 찾기 못해 결국은 늦고 말았다. 이것은 널리 만연해 있는 문제이다. 아마도 대중교통을 더 자주 이용하는 게 해결책이 될 것이다.
