In Korea, there are many awards ceremonies that are held at the end of the year. Most of them are aired nationally. There are awards for music and TV shows on each major TV station. I guess they are the Korean version of the Grammy Awards and the Emmy Awards. I remember watching an awards ceremony for TV dramas last year. There was a popular Korean drama I enjoyed watching. It got the highest ratings that year. In fact, that drama won the prize for best program and the leading actress won best actress award. I remember her crying when she was giving her acceptance speech.
