Korea has many local regulations to manage traffic. First, Korea’s roads use right-hand traffic. Inside, the cars are left-hand drive. Each road has a speed limit, and many have speed traps or traffic enforcement cameras. Some cameras record speeding drivers in specific locations, but others are average speed cameras. There are also cameras to crack down on illegal parking. During special periods such as national events, the traffic police double down on catching drunk drivers. Korea’s highways are all toll roads. Every segment has a tollgate. The toll can be paid automatically when passing the tollgate using an onboard device. Bus lanes in urban areas are set aside for the smooth operation of buses. Other cars that use the bus lanes must pay a stiff fine if they are caught.

한국에는 교통을 관리하는 한국만의 다양한 교통 법규가 있다. 우선 한국의 도로는 우측 통행을 원칙으로 하고, 차량 안에 운전석은 왼쪽에 자리하고 있다. 도로마다 제한 속도가 있고, 많은 많은 도로에는 과속 단속 카메라나 교통 단속 카메라들이 설치되어 있다. 특정 지점에서 과속을 단속하는 카메라들도 있지만, 과속 구간 단속을 하는 카메라들도 있다. 불법 주차를 단속하는 카메라들도 있다. 국가적인 행사가 있는 등의 특별 기간에는 교통 경찰들이 음주 운전자 단속을 집중적으로 실시한다. 한국의 고속도로는 모두 유료이며 구간별로 톨게이트가 설치되어 있다. 톨게이트 통과 시 차량에 설치된 단말기로 자동으로 통행료가 결제되게 할 수 있다. 도시에 있는 버스 전용 차선은 버스의 원활한 통행을 위해 버스만 주행할 수 있다. 일반 자량이 버스 전용 차선을 이용하다가 적발되면 높은 과태료를 내야 한다.
