Recycling is one of the best ways to be eco-friendly. In the 90s, the volume-based garbage disposal system was introduced in Korea. Ever since recycling has become a daily routine among people. The recycling rate in Korea is among the highest in the world. People take out the regular garbage in regulation garbage bags. This alone helps to reduce the amount of garbage. The recycling is divided into plastic, glass, metal, and paper. They are left in designated places. Food waste is also separated from the garbage. All of this sounds like a big hassle, but it becomes second nature after a while. I’m glad to do my part for the environment.

한국에서는 재활용을 어떻게 하는지 이야기해 주세요.
재활용을 하는 것은 친환경적이 될 수 있는 가장 좋은 방법 중 하나다. 우리나라는 90년대에 쓰레기 종량제가 도입되었다. 이후로 사람들에게 재활용은 일상이 되었다. 한국의 재활용율은 세계 최고 수준이다. 사람들은 일반 쓰레기를 규격 봉토에 담아 버린다. 이것만으로도 쓰레기 양을 줄이는 데 도움이 된다. 재활용품은 플라스틱, 유리, 금속, 그리고 종이 등으로 분류된다. 이를 지정된 장소에 둔다. 음식물 쓰레기도 따로 분리한다. 이 모든 것이 상당히 귀찮은 것 같지만, 시간이 지나면 일상이 된다. 환경을 위해 내 나름대로 역할을 할 수 있어서 다행이다.
