Talk about interpretations of dreams.
In Korea, there are many superstitions about dreams. Some dreams are widely regarded to be lucky. For example, a dream about pigs is a good dream. However, there are other dreams that are considered to be bad luck. There is something called a taemong. Traditionally, it is a dream that comes before someone has a baby. Usually, the mother-to-be has the dream. However, this is not always the case. Sometimes, a friend or close acquaintance can have the dream, too. There are many folk stories about the taemong of historical figures. In the past, people believed that dreams can predict the future. However, this is not a widespread belief any more. These days, dream interpretations are done just for fun.

한국에는 꿈에 대한 미신이 많다. 어떤 꿈은 길몽으로 널리 알려져 있다. 예를 들어, 돼지가 꿈에 나오면 좋은 꿈이다. 반면에 어떤 꿈은 불운을 가져온다고 여겨진다. 태몽이라는 꿈도 있다. 전통적으로 이 꿈은 누군가가 아기를 낳기 전에 꾸는 꿈이다. 보통은 예비 엄마가 꿈을 꾼다. 하지만 반드시 그런 것은 아니다. 때로는 친구나 가까운 지인이 꿈을 꿀 수도 있다. 역사적인 인물들의 태몽에 대한 민간 설화도 많이 있다. 과거에는 꿈이 미래를 예견할 수 있다고 믿었다. 하지만 이제는 보편적으로 그렇게 믿지 않는다. 요즘은 해몽을 그냥 재미로 한다.
