What kinds of topics do you discuss with friends?
I talk about tons of things with my friends. When we get together, first we ask after each other. We talk about what we've done in the meantime. A common joke is that men only talk about soccer and military service. These topics do come up in conversation. However, we talk about other things, too. We might talk about the people we're going out with. Usually, someone brings up sports. We could discuss politics. When we do that, sometimes we get into arguments. When I meet my friends, I often ask them for advice, and vice versa. We help each other out. Because we talk so often, sometimes we repeat ourselves. Still, it always feels good to talk with close friends.

나는 친구들과 다양한 주제에 대해 이야기한다. 모이면 서로의 안부를 묻는다. 그동안 무엇을 했는지에 대해 이야기한다. 남자들은 축구와 군대에 대한 이야기만 한다는 것은 흔한 농담이다. 이런 주제들도 대화에서 언급되기는 한다. 하지만 다른 것에 대해서도 대화를 한다. 사귀고 있는 사람에 대해 이야기할 수도 있다. 보통 누군가 스포츠 이야기를 꺼낸다. 정치에 대해 토론을 할 수도 있다. 그럴 경우, 때로는 다투게 되기도 한다. 친구들을 만나면 조언을 구하는 경우가 자주 있으며, 거꾸로 내가 조언을 해 주기도 한다. 서로가 서로를 돕는다. 자주 이야기를 하기 대문에 같은 대화 내용을 반복하는 경우도 있다. 그래도 친한 친구들과 대화하는 것은 항상 기분 좋은 일이다.
