Talk about a time when you were stuck in bad traffic.
Last year, I visited my grandparents' house in the countryside with my family. I was excited because I hadn't been to my hometown for a long time. However, the traffic was really bad. A lot of people were on the move because it was a long weekend. The roads were a nightmare. Even the service areas were crowded. We were stuck in stop-and-go traffic. Only the buses moved quickly, thanks to the bus lanes. It took us almost four hours to get to our destination. Normally, it only takes two hours. Ever since then, we try to head out early in the morning. There is less traffic in the early hours.

나는 작년에 가족들과 함께 시골에 사시는 할아버지 할머니 댁을 방문했다. 고향에 오랫동안 가 보지 못했기 때문에 들떠 있었다. 하지만 교통 정체가 심했다. 연휴라서 이동 중인 사람들이 많았다. 도로 상황이 악몽 같았다. 휴게소마저 사름들로 붐볐다. 가다 서다를 반복하는 교통 정체에 발이 묶여 있었다. 버스 전용 차로 덕분에 버스들만 빠르게 이동했다. 목적지에 도착하는 데 거의 네 시간이 걸렸다. 평소에는 두 시간밖에 걸리지 않는다. 그 이후로 우리는 아침에 일찍 출발을 하려고 노력한다. 이른 시간에는 교통량이 더 적기 때문이다.
