In Korea, these studio apartments are also called “officetels.” The newest studio apartments put convenience first and foremost. A lot of appliances like refrigerators washing machines and microwave ovens are built-in. This helps to free up space, and residents don’t need to shoulder the expense for the appliances. In many cases, there are sports facilities on-site for the residents. Since studio apartments are usually small, the rent isn’t too hard on the wallet for residents.
