[영어 회화] You won't have much time to catch your breath, will you?

 

(Erica and Tom are talking before Tom goes to work … )
Erica: Don't forget we're getting together with Hugh and Mary tonight.
Tom: Oh I almost forgot. When is it?
Erica: At eight-thirty. I should have known you'd forget.
Tom: I won't be home until 8:00 but we should be able to meet them.
Erica: You won't have much time to catch your breath, will you?
Tom: We're just having a drink with them, aren't we?
Erica: Not really. Mary specifically said it was a business meeting.
Tom: No kidding. What kind of business?
Erica: She didn't say but I think they've gotten into a business.
Tom: They probably want us to get in on it with them.

(톰이 출근 전에 에리카와 얘기한다 …)
에리카: 오늘 저녁 휴하고 매리와 만나는 것 잊지 마.
톰: 아 잊어버릴 뻔 했네. 언제지?
에리카: 8시30분. 당신이 잊을 거라는 걸 내가 생각했어야 하는데.
톰: 8시 전까지 집에 못오지만 시간맞춰 나갈 수 있을 거야.
에리카: 숨돌릴 여유도 별로 없겠군 안그래?
톰: 한 잔 마시러 가는 거잖아, 안그래?
에리카: 아니. 매리가 정확히 사업상 회의라고 했어.
톰: 말도 안 돼. 무슨 사업?
에리카: 말은 안했는데 내 생각엔 사업을 시작한 것 같아.
톰: 아마 사업에 같이 뛰어들자고 하겠군.
