A lot of people have been having a tough time because of the poor air quality in Korea recently. On some days, the fine dust concentration outside is very high. Quite often, it reaches a dangerous level. On days like that, wearing a pollution mask is a matter of course. It’s also best to refrain from going outdoors. Because the air quality is so bad, a lot of households are splurging on air purifiers. For families with kids, an air purifier is a must-have appliance. They are also a common sight in office spaces. As a result, demand for air purifiers has skyrocketed. Appliance makers are scrambling to develop new models as they compete for market share.

요즘 우리나라 공기의 질이 좋지 않아서 많은 사람들이 고생을 하고 있다. 외부 미세 먼지 농도가 매우 높은 날들이 있다. 위험한 수준에 이르는 경우도 제법 자주 있다. 이러한 날에는 미세 먼지 마스크 착용은 당연지사고, 외출을 자제하는 것이 좋다. 공기 질이 이렇게 안 좋다 보니 적지 않은 비용을 지불해 공기 청정기를 구비하는 가정이 점점 더 늘어나고 있다. 아이들을 기르는 가정의 경우 공기 청정기는 필수 가전제품으로 자리 잡고 있다. 사무실 공간에서도 공기 청정기를 아주 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있다. 이렇다 보니 공기 청정기의 수요가 폭발적으로 늘어나고 있고, 전자제품 회사들도 앞다퉈서 신제품들을 선보이며 시장 점유율 경쟁을 벌이고 있다.
