Everyone starts out as a new driver. One of the most difficult things for a first-time driver is changing lanes. Other cars to the side pass by at speed. It’s not easy to get the timing right and enter between them. Big vehicles like trucks or buses are intimidating when they pass, and they can make you flinch. That’s why some newbie drivers put ‘new driver’ stickers on the back of their car. It’s so that considerate drivers may yield the right of way. The final hurdle for new drivers is parking. They lack a sense of the car’s size, so they often scrape the bumpers or doors. People generally become more confident after driving over 10,000km. This is when accidents become frequent. It’s best to drive with a modest attitude, always thinking of safety.
