Talk about how we see more and more interracial couple these days.
In the past, Korea had a conservative bent. Dating a foreigner often meant getting disapproving looks from others. Families objected to international marriages. However, more foreigners came to Korea with the globalization trend. Young Koreans also studied abroad and traveled overseas more often. As matter of course, there were more and more international couples. Now, people date regardless of their nationality or their skin color. I hope Korea will become even more open-minded and considerate.

보수적이었던 우리나라에서는, 외국인과 데이트를 하면 주변의 차가운 시선을 받을 때가 많았던 시절이 있었다. 더욱이 국제 결혼은 가족들의 반대에 부딪히기도 했다. 하지만 세계화 추세에 맞춰, 점점 더 많은 외국인들이 한국에 오게 되었다. 그리고 한국의 젊은이들도 해외 유학과 해외여행을 자주 가게 되면서, 점점 더 많은 국제 커플들이 자연스럽게 생겨났다. 이제는 국적이나 피부색에 관계없이 자유롭게 사귄다. 한국 사회가 더 개방적이고 배려하는 분위기가 되었으면 좋겠다.
