People with their own channel on YouTube have a lot of sway these days. YouTubers with hundreds of subscribers give celebrities a run for their money. There’s even a new word for these people: “influencer.” Some popular YouTubers make a fortune by placing ads in their videos. They also earn advertising fees in exchange for using certain products. Anyone who can produce and edit video can be a YouTuber. Of course, it helps a lot if you have fresh, interesting content.

요즘은 유튜브에 본인의 채널을 가지고 있는 사람들의 영향력이 대단히 크다. 구독자가 수십만 명에 이르는 유튜버들은 연예인 못지않다. 이들을 부르는 ‘인플루언서’라는 신조어가 생겨났을 정도다. 일부 인기 있는 유튜버들은 본인의 영상에 광고를 올려 엄청난 돈을 번다. 또한 특정 제품을 이용해 주는 대가로 광고비를 받기도 한다. 영상을 제작하고 편집할 수만 있으면 누구나 유튜버가 될 수 있다. 물론 콘텐츠가 신선하고 재미있으면 좋다.
