Alan: What time do you want to start out?
Patrick: Early. We need to get a jump on the traffic.
Alan: Then we should leave about six.
Patrick: I'll be ready.
Alan: We'll have to pack up the car tonight.
Patrick: No problem. That shouldn't take long.
Alan: Not if you actually help this time.
Patrick: What do you mean? I always do most of the packing.
Alan: Not when we went to the Sierra Mountains. You talked on your cell phone while I packed the entire car.
Patrick: You're right. I'll make it up to you by packing the car myself tonight.

패트릭: 문제 없어. 오래 안 걸릴 거야.
앨런: 이번에 네가 진짜로 도와주면 오래 안 걸리지.
패트릭: 무슨 말이야? 항상 짐 싣는 건 내가 거의 다 하는데.
앨런: 시에라 산맥에 갈 때는 안 그랬지. 내가 차 가득 짐 쌀 때 넌 휴대폰 통화했잖아.
패트릭: 네 말이 맞다. 오늘 밤은 내가 짐 다 싣는 것으로 만회를 할게.

So, I had no choice but to call my friends and tell them I couldn't make it. I felt very bad since I hadn't seen them for a long time. Plus, I was the one who organized the gathering in the first place. I told my friends that I would make it up to them later on.
I'm sorry that I was late to go to a movie, but I'll make it up to you.
