(Gary is staring out the window when his wife enters the room.)
Ellen: You look like you're deep in thought.
Gary: I am. I'm looking back on my single days.
Ellen: Does that mean that you don't love me anymore?
Gary: Of course not. I love you more than ever.
Ellen: Then prove it by cooking dinner tonight.
Gary: I'll do better than that. I'll buy you dinner at your favorite restaurant.
Ellen: That's a great idea. Now tell me what you were thinking about.
Gary: I was wondering what I did with all my free time.
Ellen: As I remember you wasted most of it drinking and carousing.
Gary: If it hadn't been for you I might still be doing it.
