[영어 회화] First I'm going to get a second opinion.

 

(Two friends are having coffee … )
Trevor: Were you on time for your doctor's appointment?
Will: No I wasn't but the doctor was running late so it didn't make a difference.
Trevor: Did he give you a clean bill of health?
Will: Not exactly.
Trevor: Is there anything wrong?
Will: He told me that I have a hernia.
Trevor: Do you need an operation?
Will: I don't know. First I'm going to get a second opinion.
Trevor: Don't you trust your doctor?
Will: Sure but I want another doctor to confirm his opinion.

(친구 둘이 커피를 마시고 있다…)
트레버: 병원 예약 시간에 맞춰 갔어?
윌: 아니 하지만 의사가 늦게 와서 별 차이가 없었어.
트레버: 자네 건강은 양호하대?
윌: 뭐 딱히 그렇지가 않아.
트레버: 뭐가 잘못됐는데?
윌: 탈장 증세가 있대.
트레버: 수술을 해야 돼?
윌: 잘 모르겠어. 우선 다른 의사의 소견을 들을 거야.
트레버: 자네 의사를 못믿겠어?
윌: 물론 믿지만 다른 의사가 확증해줬으면 해.
